TU tuesday: Discussion review

On Tuesday Kristi Gustafson Barlette came to our class to talk about her life and her job. Kristi stood up in front of our class and we held a conversation for a little more than an hour. Kristi seemed very comfortable with standing up and giving an oral presentation in front of our class. For Kristi's poise I say she did very well. She seemed, as I said before, very comfortable standing up in front of our class and talking. She carried out our conversation and seemed very interested in what we had to ask. She did not stutter at all and seemed very comfortable up in front of the class. For clarity Kristi also did a good job. She was very clear and spoke slowly enough so that we could clearly hear what she was saying. Kristi did use big words but not that much and she didn't use an excessive amount of them so that we understood what we were saying. In the Volume category Kristi did excellent. She spoke loudly and clearly and I was never bored by what she was saying. She kept me interested in the conversation. In the information part I feel like she could have done better. Kristi gave good details like when she was describing her time milking the cows but she gave a lot of fluff as well. She kind of clouded her points and made them kind of vague. She also gave a lot of unnecessary details that didn't add much to the conversation. With her organization I feel like Kristi did just OK again. At some points of the conversation I felt like she had superb organization and the conversation really worked but at other points she was bouncing around and I found her coming back to points that she had already talked about. I feel like as a class we did a very good job with the discussion. Our class easily held out the conversation for more than an hour with very few awkward breaks. Throughout the conversation I was attentively listening. I wanted to ask questions a few times but she changed the topic before I could ask it and other students asked the same question before I could. So I did not ask a question during the presentation but I very attentively listened. Overall I would say Kristi did a very good job with the presentation and I would recommend her for your next year class. She did a very good job and I feel she will keep your next class entertained as well.
