Q=Quito

I have never been to Quito before but it seems like a very cool place to go. There seems to be a lot of stuff to do there and it all seems fun. If I was to go there I would like to do these seven things:

Info taken directly from:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g294308-Activities-Quito.html

1. Visit the Ride Andes stables. I have never rode a horse before and it seems like a very fun thing to do. And since it is so easily gotten to I would very much like to go to the Ride Andes stables and ride a horse.  It will also be awesome to ride in the famous Andes with some very well trained horse

2. Go to the Museo Manuela Saenz. This is a museum that has a lot of Manuela Saenz artifacts. It contains her paintings, stamps and even some personal things of Manuela. This seems like a very interesting museum and it would be fun to learn about the life of Manuela.

3. Visit the Basilica. This is considered to be the largest church in Quito. Even though I am not religious this seems like a very interesting place to visit. The Basilica features fine bronze doors, colorful stained glass windows and a tower with sweeping views of the city. This sounds like a very fun place to see.

4. Go to the old town in Quito. This is a part of Quito that seems very interesting. This historic district was the first city named a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is noted for its narrow streets, Spanish colonial architecture and historic attractions. All these factors make going to the old town seem like a very fun trip.

5. Another thing that I would like to do would be to go on the Teleferico Quito. This is a cable car that will take you up onto a mountain were as some reviewers say; "the view of the Quito valley is... well, breathtaking. The best way to get the lay of the land from above" That reviews in of itself makes me want to go on this ride and it makes it seem very fun.

6. Another place that I would like to visit is the San Fransisco Plaza. This plaza once served as a lively
 Commercial center during pre-Columbian times, this large cobbled square is dominated by the enormous Iglesia de San Francisco and the monastery of the same name. This seems like a very interesting place to visit and would be up there on places that I would like to visit while in Quito.

7. The last but not least thing that I would do in Quito would be to go to the Maquipucuna Cloud Forest Reserve. This is the closest rainforest to Quito and it seems well worth the long drive. Maquipucuna
measures more than 6,000 hectares (15,000 acres) containing more than 375 species of birds, 45 species of mammals, 250 species of butterflies, and 1000 species of moths - amongst other species... In addition to hosting more than 2,000 species of plants, Maquipucuna harbors 4% of the world's bird diversity. These are some pretty impressive stats that make me want to go to this rainforest.

After looking at all the great things Quito has to offer I would love to go there. I never really thought of Quito as a major place to go to but after doing this blog it really opened me up to Quito. There is tons of really interesting things to do there and I would really love to go there.
