Jimmer Ferdette, King of our area courts, is now truly a King!

In this blog the writer: Eric Medved, writes about his experiences with Jimmer Ferdette. Jimmer Ferdette is a now NBA player who went to high school in Glens Falls, New York. Only a short drive away from here. He played for many AAU teams here and eventually went to college at BYU and after his senior year he was drafted by the Sacramento Kings. In the blog Eric talks about coaching Jimmer when he was a young kid, and how even back then he was very talented. As Eric recalls; "Jimmer always had that knack of being able to knock one down when you needed it most." Eric highly praises Jimmer throughout the blog talking about how good of a player he was and how he always came up in the clutch. " he was the one we called upon when we needed a bucket," says Eric, who coached Jimmer when he was in Glens Falls. In this blog Eric used many good points he always backed up his reasoning with a good point that made the point valid such as "and by the time he was a junior, he helped lead this group of kids to a #3 finish in the country.  It seemed, even then, that whatever you threw at him, he handled in stride." This is an example of how he backed up his points. This was an example of how he was backing up his idea that Jimmer is a clutch player.Throughout the blog Eric make many valid points about Jimmers success but he did stretch the truth a little. At the end of the blog Eric says; "Yes for years, Jimmer has ruled our courts and has stood alone as the king, now in Sacramento, he truly will be a King and if he continues working, perhaps one of the great Kings of the court of all-time!" In my opinion this is a huge overstatement. Before last year many people didn't even know who Jimmer was and during his time playing for the AAU teams he wasn't a huge name. Now that he had a huge year people are making a big deal about him but in my opinion he has many holes in his game and they will be amplified in the NBA. But this is just my opinion, we will have to wait and see for ourselves who is more right.
