Nersury Rhymes ARE Relevent to Life

I've been workin' on the railroad,

All the live long day.
I've been workin' on the railroad,
Strumming on the old banjo.
Just to pass the time away.
Don't you hear the whistle blowing?
Rise up so early in the morn.
Don't you hear the captain shouting
"Dinah, blow your horn"?
Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow your horn?
Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow,
Dinah, won't you blow your horn? Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah.
Someone's in the kitchen, I know.
Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah
Strumming on the old banjo. Fee, fie, fiddle-e-i-o.
Fee, fie, fiddle-e-i-o.
Fee, fie, fiddle-e-i-o.

When I hear this nursery rhyme it reminds me of my life today. In the rhyme it is talking about working hard and getting up early to work. I could relate this nursery rhyme to school but I feel a more fitting thing to relate it to is my running. I have been seriously running for more than a year now but it feels like so much more time. I love running with all my heart and I cannot imagine my life without running but it is very hard work. In order to be good at running and be able to compete on our school teams at a high level you have to work very hard. This involves getting up early on the weekends for runs that you don't want to take at all or after a long day of school, after which all you want to do is sleep, you have to go to practice. Running can be very mentally taxing and extremely hard work both mentally and physically. Even though the running is hard work I still continue to do it because I love it and I cannot imagine my life without running and that is why I continue to work so hard at it.
